| Just as it seems Chloe is getting used to her new found responsibilities as The Uniter, she is forced to meet Valentina, the leader of the San Francisco Mai. To Chloe's dismay, Valentina informs her that, although the teenager has nine lives, each death becomes more painful than the one before. Chloe also learns that, if The Order's assassin cannot be stopped, she will be forced to leave her family and friends.
