| Newlyweds, Jamie and Jessica, want their first place in the Boston area to be a 2 unit multi-family home, where they could live in one unit, and rent out the other. As owners of a very large Staffordshire Terrier, they plan on finding a dog-friendly place that'll make their rental unit attractive to future tenants. But since multi-family units in their $500,000 price range are a hot commodity, they've looked at over 100 properties and have lost out to buyers with deeper pockets.
